Feedback on the Access Cards
Hi I'm a seasoned eft'er I recently used the teenage access cards with a group of adults with issues around self esteem they worked a treat. I think we are all young at heart and the access cards took the adults away from the every day stresses and back to a time and place were they could home in on the real issues. It was amazing how quickly they picked a card that spoke to them in some way. Example:- A male secondary school teacher chose the card Passion. He explained how passionate he was about learning and sport. I asked him what was the negative side of passion for him. Well the flood gates opened he was frustrated and weighed down with the lack of passion from his pupils, he couldn't cope with their don't care attitude and lack of interest in anything, he felt they were dead inside. This had a knock on effect on his abilities as a teacher. We did several rounds of eft around his frustration and the feeling of being weighed down. We brought his rating of 10 down to a 0, he realized he was doing a great job and that the children whom he was here to inspire would listen and develop their own passion and he was more likely to reach the others if he let go of the frustration he was giving out. I was thrilled to use the access cards so successfully and get to issues quickly, enabling me to give all six adults a chance to work on their choice of cards. I'd like to thank Christine and all the teenagers who designed the card for a job well done , its really a pleasure to learn from the young people of our generation. All is not lost. Keep up the good work, you are all stars in the making. Many thanks. Carole Senogles
