Headteacher of Primary school

Taken from a letter by a local primary school headteacher regarding a pupil who had been suffering with severe lack of confidence and self esteem. The boy had taken part in two EFT sessions.

"I have never seen such a sudden and dramatic change in a pupil’s confidence in all my years of teaching. His attitude to learning, participation in activities and willingness to engage with other pupils has improved beyond everyone’s expectations.

After the first session, he returned to school with a completely different attitude and outlook. Seven months on, and he has changed beyond belief. I have spoken to his parents and his class teacher at several points and they all say that it you all down to your work with him. The story is the same for several other referred pupils that you have worked with. I would like to book the EFT for Teachers and Parents workshop when it is convenient for you so that we can all benefit please."

A thank you card from an 8 year old girl.

Thank you for teaching me to tap. I’m not angry any more with mum or my teachers. Actually, even though they are teachers, they are alright.

"Just the sort of Healthy School initiative that needs to be made available to every pupil up and down the country. It is truely accessible and effective for all ages and issues."

As a secondary school counsellor, EFT has given me an effective technique that can be slotted into sessions with pupils as needed. As well as been effective for helping change, the pupils are sharing the technique with friends when they have stuff that's bothering them.

Email from a mum of a child you had MATHS MONSTERS

Thank you Christine for teaching both me and Susan to tap. I’m still finding it hard to believe that a technique so simple can have such great and lasting results. It is nearly a year since you first worked with Susan and her “MATHS MONSTERS” as she called them. Together you worked through all the aspects of what causes her maths fear. I now understand why it is important to cover all angles as from then on, Maths her never caused her any concern. Much to her and my amazement she now enjoys numeracy at school and looks forward to numeracy homework!

Better still, she gained confidence to use tapping for other things that bother her. I’ve seen her use it a few times when she is nervous and the feelings just go!

We both share PAT BEAR. Sometimes he’s just there to listen, sometimes he gets tapped on and sometimes we put the thing that is bothering us into him. When all said and done, tapping works, you just end up feeling like the thing that was bothering you – doesn’t any more.

Anyone can learn it easily and use it on everyday things, angry, sadness, frustration, feeling stuck, etc. For bigger stuff and especially the problems that you can’t seem to unravel and don’t go away then some sessions with a good EFT Practitioner is the way to go.

Email extract from a dad whose son had a fear of Dogs

Facing any type of dog out in public was a true nightmare for my son. The reality of him starting secondary school in a few months was really filling all of us with dread. He was going to be walking to school and what we all knew was that Jamie would be likely to jump out into a main road to avoid facing a dog of any sort. This simply needed sorting.

In one session you managed to clear all the aspects that bothered him about dogs. It was so interesting to hear you uncover all the obvious and unobvious links to his fear. Things that are not even to do with dogs and how he feels about himself. Once the two of you had tapped you way around all sorts, the change in Jamie was amazing.

Anyway six months on and Jamie walks to school without a problem. He still has a healthy respect for dangerous animals as you explained he still needed, but the change in how he sees a ‘scary world’ has been so delightful. As you know, much of this came from me and I am another healthy tapper – with work in progress.

Readers of this post may be interested to know that within two weeks of Jamie’s session, we took a trip to a local dog sanctuary and two months ago we took ownership of a beautiful and lively young Labrador.

From a mother of seven year old boy with special learning difficulties

Four months ago, Daniel, a bright, intelligent ball of energy was having difficulty at school. With numerous attention and health issues, he had badly fallen behind in his learning. He was unable to read and started to feel down on himself as his entertaining character was no longer covering up his lack of progress. His mother, Daniel and I worked on a simple tapping programme in sessions and at home covering many elements to his difficulties and how he felt.

I received this note through my door.

Christine, you have seen what Daniel is like now. I just want everyone else to know. He brings home two books a night now – I can’t keep up! He has made labels of objects all round the house. OK so he hasn’t got all the spellings yet, but he’s so excited and keen. Both his teacher and assistant have commented on his big improvements. And I think everyone is a little less exhausted after teaching him for the day – as he is less restless and sits down to concentrated more regularly.

Really nice too to see that he has been teaching his friends the Tapping Tune and he helped his friend Mattie to tap who was sad when he wasn’t picked for football.

Sixth Form tapping for Exam Nerves – after a 90 minute school workshop

“I learnt so much about myself in those 90 minutes you were here. As a Psychology student, I had learnt about the stress response and even learnt about stress management but learning to tap is so simple and it works. We all came out of the workshop feeling a lot calmer and followed the tapping plan you gave us. Thank you so much”

“I was the one that asked all the awkward questions about energy. It just seemed a bit odd. It is odd but I just felt so much calmer than I have been before for A Levels and GCSE’s. I’ve now been reading oodles about Energy Psychology and it’s really fascinating about what happens when your energy gets upset. I’ve got other stuff I’d like to deal with, so I’ll be contacting you”

Social Worker from a Pupil Referral Unit

For other social workers or anyone else working with young people on emotional and behavioural issues, I highly recommend EFT. It can be similarly applied to everyday issues as well as deep seated trauma from the past. You can learn EFT from workshops or trainings like I have and I teach a simple form to most trouble teenagers that I work with. I do however draft in the expertise of a specialist Young Peoples’ EFT Practitioner when faced with a young person with deep emotional issues that could benefit from more advanced experience.

I thoroughly recommend Christine Moran as an excellent EFT Practitioner. She is skilled, sensitive and flexible to many age groups and issues. She skilfully adapts the basic toolkit and uses other trainings to suit the needs of each session, workshop or group that she runs. As the techniques used in EFT are so adaptable, she works with past, present and even future issues with all ages professionally. She manages to keep them smiling even when guiding them gently through the most serious aspects of their problems yet still deliver them to a point where stuff just doesn’t bother them anymore.

From a mother of Boy 14

Christine, I cannot thank you enough. After just 3 hours of session work with my son, everything has changed. A few short weeks ago, we were all in turmoil - On report at school, close to exclusion, panic attacks and extreme anger at home.

Now he is sitting quietly revising for his SATS as he has been for the last several weeks. He is patient and helpful at home, being commended by his teachers and focused about his future plans.
