MBTI INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP WORK. - MBTI registered practitioner
More to come on this website in the future. But just to give you an idea, you can help a child, teacher, school, or family to reach their full potential(s) by helping them to discover and utilise their true learning style and express themselves with their natural style of communication.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Interestingly Neuro Linguistic Programming is the only other therapy endorsed by Gary Craig and I must say that they are a dynamic duo. I ues EFT in conjunction with NLP as my primary tool for helping people overcome all sorts of issues: " Removing negatives emotions " Reducing stress responses " Relieving past painful memories " Reducing or alleviating physical pain " Clearing blocks to learning " Reduce or clear food cravings”
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a rather jargon bound name that belies its brilliance. I like to think of it as a 'users manual for the brain'. After all we have the most complex software system between our ears imaginable and it doesn't confine itself to the space in our cranium, it interfaces with every aspect of our body. BUT were we ever told how to use this spectacular instrument? I know I certainly wasn't. What? What? re-write the brain's software and therefore have an effect on my behaviour. You mean I could learn more easily? I could stop myself worrying? I could experience happiness more often? Be less bad-tempered? It was an amazing notion to me and it has worked. Although I will say right up front I AM NOT PERFECT!! A very dear colleague and friend of mine often says 'this stuff doesn't give you licence to walk on water'. I continue to work on re-programming my 'software' but I can tell you that I am calmer, more at peace, happier in the world now than I ever anticipated being. And I attribute it all to learning NLP.
So let's think about the name then: it covers the three most influential aspects of our human experience: neurology, language and programming. Our neurological (let's call it nervous) system regulates how our bodies function, our language (let's say the words we use) determines how we communicate with other people and ourselves (this is important - I'll come back to this) and our 'programming' determines the kinds of models of the world we create. This takes a bit more explaining: what do we mean by 'programming'? Every single one of us puts all the information that is coming in through our senses through a variety of 'filters'. The reason for this is one of sanity. We process HUGE amounts of sensory information- I've read numbers anywhere upwards of 2 billion pieces of information every second - and we can't possibly pay conscious attention to it all, therefore we learn to Delete, Distort and Generalise.
What is NLP?
Neuro • Neurology - The mind and how we think.
Linguistic • Linguisitics - How we use language and how it affects us.
Programming • Programming - How we sequence our actions to achieve our goals
At the heart of Neuro-Linguistic Programming - NLP is a wide range of methods and models offering new understanding into how people think, behave, learn and change. Neuro-Linguisitc Programming - NLP offers a fresh, flexible approach to learning and teaching which brings about positive, fast change in individuals and empowers them to adapt to an ever-shifting world.
NLP's practical applications include understanding how we learn, developing strategies for both students and teachers, using our five senses (VAKOG) for help with teacher lesson plans and making use of powerful accelerated learning techniques. Through Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), teachers and parents can learn fast, effective, proven methods for helping students to do well. Classroom teachers and teachers on teacher training programs in the UK and abroad will increase a win-win teacher-student relationship by systematically employing NLP and the non-verbal classroom management techniques taught on this training.
With students who are having learning difficulties, we can improve the student's learning strategy (the thought sequence the student is using to learn - or to not learn). Also, it is important to know the student's learning style. Visual learners learn best when they see the material on a page or on a blackboard; they like demonstrations of the material. Auditory learners learn best when they discuss the material. Kinesthetic learners need to do projects and to be actively involved.
It is often said that we were born with the most amazing computer in the Universe - the Human Brain. The only problem is, nobody gave us an instruction manual on how to work it. Now with NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming, we have our first handbook for realising the potential of our mind. NLP is the wisdom of research over the past 25 years into how the human mind works. It was developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the early 1970s.
“NLP has untapped potential for treating individual problems. It has transformed into an all-purpose self-improvement program and technology.” - Times Magazine
“NLP could be the most vital synthesis of knowledge about human communication since the sixties.” - Science Digest
NLP describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay (programming) affects our behavior. By restructuring neuro-linguistic programs, we transform the way we act and therefore our results.
Mind Mapping
What is a Mind Map?
Developed in 1970 by Tony Buzan, a Mind Map is a powerful graphic technique, which, because it draws on the strengths of both sides of the brain, provides a universal key to unlocking its potential.
It harnesses the full range of cortical skills in a single, uniquely powerful way.
Mind Maps are 'Brain Friendly' – they:
•Give you an overview of a large subject/area
•Enable you to 'plan routes', make choices
•Gather and hold large amounts of information
•Encourage productive day-dreaming and problem-solving by looking for creative links and pathways
•Are extremely efficient
•Are enjoyable to look at, think about, revisit and remember
•Are fun to do - with the added bonus that they involve few words and many images/symbols
What is Visual Spelling for Children?
Visual Spelling is a revolutionary way of teaching spelling.
Spelling is a skill but for people (little and big) who experience difficulty with it, it can assume greater importance than maybe it should.
The Visual Spelling Strategy comes from the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and has been adapted from the Visual Spelling Strategy. It's originator, Robert Dilts, discovered the way that really good, even excellent spellers spell. Therein lies the genius of the Visual Spelling for Kids.
There has been more written about what people with a poor spelling strategy do than you'd ever want to read, but to my best knowledge, very little attention has been paid to HOW good spellers do it! Until now.
The most marvellous thing about this strategy is that with practice, it can be mastered by almost everyone. Spelling can then improve beyond all expectations.
I can teach you the basics of the Visual Spelling in a workshop or I can structure a series of lessons which will teach spelling in conjunction with an understanding of the English spelling system, which is perhaps more suitable for children who are experiencing or have experienced reading difficulties.
